Our Favorite Vegan Quick Service and Snack Foods at Walt Disney World

Near-record temperatures throughout our stay in May 2024 reduced our appetites a bit, but we still found plenty of delicious eats in and around Walt Disney World to enjoy. We only ate at quick service locations for this vacation, but table service restaurants offer phenomenal entrees and desserts as well.

Ice Cream Sundaes from BoardWalk Ice Cream (Disney’s Boardwalk Inn)

Beaches & Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort usually gets the ice cream love, but BoardWalk Ice Cream can veganize just about the entire menu, has better pricing, and doesn’t require reservations. (I know the walk-up window is an option at Beaches & Cream, but we much preferred walking to BoardWalk Ice Cream!)

Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich from BoardWalk Deli (Disney’s Boardwalk Inn)

We are still dreaming about this delicious breakfast sammy stuffed with Just Egg, pepper jack cheese, tomato jam, and arugula. It was so tasty we went back twice for a relaxing breakfast overlooking Crescent Lake. We also ordered (allergy-friendly) chocolate chip muffins that weren’t on the regular menu, but were available by asking a cast member. The deli also serves a pickled veggie sandwich at lunch and dinner, which is a nice lighter option as well.

Chili-Spiced Crispy Fried Tofu Bowl from Satu’li Canteen (Animal Kingdom)

Disney wowed us with some of the best tofu we have ever eaten, and we have eaten plenty of tofu over our many years as vegan eaters. The bowls here are so flavorful, and we experimented with the different bases across our two lunches eaten here. (Splitting and mixing is the way!) Our kiddo was not a fan because of the spice factor, so children or the spice-averse might want to pass on this dish.

Plant-based Cookies ‘n “Cream” Chocolate Mousse Cup from Sunshine Seasons (Epcot)

We all agreed that this was the tastiest dessert we tried during our trip. Found in the grab ‘n go case at Sunshine Seasons in The Land pavilion, this creamy and rich chocolatey mousse really hit the spot. Our only mistake was not trying it until the day before we flew home – we definitely would have bought it more than once!

Korean Style Impossible Burger (available at Value and Moderate resorts)

We love an Impossible Burger, and the Asian-inspired flavors of this menu item was memorable. The pickled vegetables and Korean BBQ sauce were nice toppers, and sometimes a good burger and fries is just the ticket. We ate lunch at Spyglass Grill at Caribbean Beach Resort before riding back to our resort on the Skyliner, but this burger is also available across numerous resorts.

Build Your Own Pizzas from Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza (Disney Springs) followed by desserts from Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC

Is pizza followed by assorted baked goods the perfect meal? It just might be. Made-to-order pizza from Blaze has long been a favorite of ours, and finishing our meal with donuts, cake, and the famous “everything but the kitchen sink” style dessert cup from Erin McKenna’s was terrifically tasty.

Outpost Popcorn Mix from Kat Saka’s Kettle (Hollywood Studios)

The Outpost Popcorn Mix from Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The sweet tastes a bit like Fruity Pebbles, but then the nice gentle kick from the spiced blend tones it down. We are a family that loves popcorn (most popcorn varieties at WDW are vegan-friendly) and this mix is one we still talk about.

Vegan Sub Sandwiches from Publix (numerous locations, can order for delivery along with other groceries using their app)

Ordering groceries (and sunscreen, diapers, hand soap, etc.) to your Walt Disney World resort is easy, and opting for a Publix delivery was a no-brainer for us since we had our eye on vegan subs, chips, and vegan cookies for a couple meals. Publix is known for its fantastic sandwiches, and the grocery store chain has several options for vegans. These sandwiches were an inexpensive highlight of our trip, and something we cannot get at home.

Plant-Based Totchos and Toasted “Cheddar” Sandwich from Woody’s Lunch Box (Hollywood Studios)

The crispy tater tots topped with chili, cheese, green onions, and corn chips was yummy vegan junk food, and a classic grilled cheese on sourdough was a classic tasty sandwich, too. The seating situation combined with the popularity of Woody’s Lunch Box can make dining time a challenge, but if you can mobile order and snag a table, you’re in for a treat.

Triple Suns Breakfast Wrap and Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce from Ronto Roasters (Hollywood Studios)

The vegan take on a breakfast wrap was a flavor explosion that we loved. While the simple fruit with tamarind sauce was a simple snack or side, it was light and refreshing and something I would absolutely order again for a healthier food option. I can’t wait to return to Ronto Roasters during the lunch hour to try the Zuchii Wrap.

Assorted Foods at the 2024 Flower & Garden Festival

Some items return from year to year, but sometimes new plant-based items make their debut. Here is a quick list of the items we liked best at the 2024 Flower & Garden Festival. (We completed The Garden Graze and collected our free Dole Whip in a souvenir cup, too!)

Plant-based Buffalo Chicken Tender Poutine, Impossible Jamaican Beef Patty with Spicy Papaya Syrup, Coconut Tres Leches, Impossible Farmhouse Meatball, and Avocado Toast

Eating vegan at Walt Disney World is easy and delicious! If you’re ready to plan your magical vacation, please schedule a consultation.
